Are you really sure S/K have been at all relevant since they lost Weiss? Idk, the Truckers have multiple good to great albums post Isbell…I guess I’ll check out the new album, but I don’t remember a single song from their 2019 album and I got a free cd of it because I had concert tickets
Yeah, the criteria they're meeting are (i) keeping playing (well) live, (ii) make new music that sounds okay when sprinkled in among the classics, and (iii) don't become the Rolling Stones. Question with the Truckers is whether they did actually have a Best in the World moment between S-K going on hiatus and Wussy putting together the discography to make a claim. (Remember Sonic Youth were still a going concern at that time…)

Center won't hold was lousy but the next 2 have their moments.
