Semipop Life is our flagship column of album capsule reviews. Particular focuses are pop in all its forms, jazz, and music of Africa and Latin America, though we do try to get to everything.
Video & Audio covers “singles”, whatever that means these days.
Odds & Ends takes albums that I listened to two or three times and that (in most cases) I’d be happy to listen to further if I had the time, and assigns them one (1) sentence.
Other Music is a catch-all for, well, other writing about music. This includes The Bullpen, capsule reviews for albums I don’t feel like grading properly, other review columns that don’t fit the standard Semipop Life format, polls and such, and very very occasional longform.
Miscellany covers non-music writing: books, comics, movies, what I did on my holidays.
Listmas has year-end lists.
