After Spain we went to France (our third time there, so we’d done a lot of the obvious stuff, at least in Paris.) Here are some things I recommend.

Chartres

Chartres: south tower and buttresses; Blue Virgin window; Joachim and Anne in the choir wall; tympanum and archivolts above the Virgin in the central south portal.
